Mike joins his old buddies for one last show after being away from the stripping business for three years. The 2015 stripping convention is taking place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and the Florida crew want to give their best performance yet before moving on with their lives.
The men take a road trip from Tampa to Myrtle Beach, stopping along the way as they make new acquaintances. In Jacksonville they make an important connection with someone who can help fund the rest of their trip when their transportation breaks. By Savannah they pick up the tools they need to create a new performance, ditching their old routines so they can show off the type of man they feel to be inside. (So Richie used to have the fireman role, what he really wants is to do a performance as a stripping groom.)
The storyline is just there to help move along the performances the guys do throughout the movie. The road trip gives an excuse to stop and do a quick little performance for the audience, meanwhile the best part of the movie is being saved for the ending. During the two or three day drive to Myrtle Beach, the guys spend their reunited time getting used to not having their old leader making them do the same boring routine. Mike encourages the guys to find their passion in their performance which leads to a bold and exciting final show.
Magic Mike XXL comes to the screens with bigger moves and intense performances. This movie tends to get a lot of hate for being a girly movie but it’s just another fun movie like any other raunchy ones (Ted, The Hangover, or Fifty Shades of Grey). Sadly the strippers you see in the movie are probably not what you’re going to get in real life so you might as well enjoy it while you can.
